Provides business analytics services such as business intelligence, market, customer research analysis, dashboards and scorecards creation to business units. Completes independently tasks that are guided by policies and procedures. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. This specialized role focused on supporting the senior leadership with insights, management reports and analysis for decision making process. Selects the most appropriate methods to achieve identified results in a work plan or project. Analyze the situation or problem compared with previous situations to identify a pattern or the root cause

Essential Functions

Act as liaison between business unit operations and business segments; ensuring accurate information. Translates business needs into analytics/reporting requirements to support executive decisions and workflows with required information. Develop revenue and expense analysis, projections, reports and presentation. Proactively mines data warehouse to identify trends and patterns to generate insights for business units and senior leadership. Provides guidance, training and problem solving assistance to others team members. Evaluate extraction methods and procedures used to obtain data to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency and accuracy. Active participation in special programs or large projects of the corporation with many deadlines. Being able to juggle it all is crucial to the job. Works closely with information managers, data architects, and business units for knowledge sharing, mentoring and training. Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management. Perform clinical, operational and financial analysis of the various risks faced by the Company. Responsible for ensure the compliance of regulatory reports in the business unit. Oral presentations on statistical analysis data to internal or external audience. Evaluate economic impacts and adequacy of corporate decisions or strategies. Able to prepare and work on any other ad hoc report or information. Interpret data on premium, claim and operating trends, economic influences, and other factors affecting the Organization.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Business Administration , Arts, Science, Biology, Public Health, Statistics or Bio-Statistics, Demography, Epidemiology, Evaluation of Health Programs or Computer Science preferable with 1 to 3 years of experience as a business intelligence analyst, market research analyst, financial analyst, statistician in Health Insurance Industry. Or Associates Degree (60-64 college credits) with 3 to 5 years of the experience mentioned above. Or at least 5 years of this experience in lieu of.

Key Competencies

Knowledge of economic, statistics and accounting principles, financial markets, insurance industry and the analysis of financial and health data reporting. Basic knowledge of SQL, Business Intelligence Reporting Tools, Reporting Services and Data Warehouse Scheme Topology.
