Reports to the Director- Health Information Systems (HIS). Provides a single point of contact and maintains total ownership of all I/S Services requests through its implementation. Recommends innovative I/S solutions to improve productivity and create competitive advantages. Works with senior management in the definition and implementation of an Information Systems Roadmap for a Business Unit. The I/S Support Officer has the day to day leadership and accountability to establish priorities to HIS staff and to escalate incidents as needed. Instills high service attitude and discipline to deliver high quality Information Systems on time and within budget.
Ensure adequate information systems support to meet current and future needs of assigned Business Unit through ongoing information systems planning, implementation and support. Serve as an internal advisor to Senior Management on information systems matters. Take the initiative to make decisions related to information systems and is an advocate for change. Manage the daily activities required to deliver ongoing I/S Services. Ensure assigned activities are managed according to Service Level Agreements. Coordinate application problem resolution and service requests. Comply with and ensure compliance to established controls. Provide Information Systems and Business Processes expertise to support TSS business operations. Recommend acquisition of tools to improve day-to-day I/S activities.
Bachelor Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Systems or Software Engineering, or Business Management with a major in Information Systems with (1) to (3) years of experience in the field of data processing and information systems, preferable in the Health Insurance Industry. Or Associates Degree (60-64 college credits) in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Systems or Software Engineering, or Business Management with a major in Information Systems with (3) to (5) years of experience in the field of data processing and information systems, preferable in the Health Insurance Industry. Or 5 years of this experience in lieu of.
